San Diego Schools Receive Fruit Orchards through Fruit Tree 101

Stretch Island Fruit Co., along with The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation, introduced their Fruit Tree 101 program at the Harriet Tubman Village Charter School, Alice Birney Elementary, and McKinley Elementary in San Diego on October 21. Fruit Tree 101 is a partnership between Stretch Island Fruit Co. and the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation, which donates orchards to schools across the country to address proper nutrition and sustainability. 30 volunteers from the Stretch Island Fruit Co. team were in attendance at the Harriet Tubman Village Charter School event to help the children plant trees and learn about health and their environment during this fun-filled day.
